When it applies
- A Bus Zone sign controls the kerb.
- The sign shows operating times or applies at all times.
- The vehicle is not a bus or another vehicle specifically allowed by the sign or law.
What drivers should check
- Do not use a bus zone for rideshare, private pick-up or quick errands.
- Check whether a time panel changes the rule outside peak periods.
- Use a lawful No Parking, loading or passenger area if one is available nearby.
Common mistakes
- Treating a bus zone like a short passenger pick-up space.
- Stopping just inside the zone because no bus is visible.
