Kerbside zones can change what stopping, loading or parking is allowed.

Clearways

Clearways keep major NSW roads moving during signed periods and can restrict stopping, parking, passenger pick-up and loading.

Bus zones reserve kerb access for buses and passengers while the sign applies, so private vehicles generally should not stop there.

Loading zones support genuine loading and unloading, but vehicle type, activity, time limits and sign wording all matter.

Permit parking areas are managed locally and should be checked against council conditions, permit type, signs and operating times.

School kerbs often combine time-limited No Stopping, No Parking, bus, crossing and pickup controls with higher safety risk.

Accessible parking spaces are reserved for eligible mobility permit use and may include time, payment, access aisle or local conditions.
