What it means
Restricted parking area signs are used in large public areas with limited entry and exit points. You must not stop or park between the area signs except where a sign says you can.
What drivers should do
- Check entry and exit signs.
- Only stop where a sign or marked area permits it.
- Use any pick-up, drop-off or permit exception exactly as signed.

- Read the sign face first, then any smaller panels above or below it.
- Check arrows to see where the controlled kerb section starts and ends.
- Check days, times, permit wording, payment wording and vehicle-class wording.
- Check entry and exit signs.

- Check whether the notice refers to a Restricted Parking Area sign or a related rule.
